I have a mac and can't seem to get this clip to play at all whatever I do. Pants!

Is it very long, and if not, would someone do the decent thing and transcribe it into text format?

Is this on your Mac? Yeah, apparently it doesn't like Macs and it doesn't work well with Mozilla Firefox. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way for me to save the clip, as much as I'd like to. I only have the site bookmarked. frown

WOOO - GOT IT. THANKS EVERYONE.

So JF is being 'interviewed' here by?? Haftig Fredag (Swedish punk band of that period, better known as the Bitch Boys?)

Doesn't seem likely by their image…

It is though, as u all say, truly cringe-making frown

Wait...this was a punk band that was serenading Mr. Foxx with "For He's A Jolly Good Fellow??" Better it should have been an Oompah band! eek

OK, I need the help of all of you tech-savvy people. Are any of you who have gotten the dodgy ice skaters not Mac users? I ask because I gave the link to a friend of mine who uses a PC, and she saw ice skaters too! I'm not sure what to do. I use a PC and it's always worked fine for me. HELP!! banghead arnie

I apologise to those who haven't been able to view it for one reason or another. I'm not sure about the dodgy ice skating thing. I hope most, if not all, of you have somehow worked your way 'round to viewing it properly. Yes, it seems it's not very Mac or Mozilla Firefox (which I'd forgotten about) friendly. I liked it! An Anarchist? Because of some very bumb punk rockers, the concept of anarchy gets some very bad press at times. When i was a punk, i understood it more to be like a kind of self-rule rather than merely doing what society expects of us. In the intervening 25-30 years, society has become more individualistic. But there is still generally a deep suspicion of "outsiders" or those who want to be "different".

OK, then I suppose, given that, he could have been an anarchist. It just sounded funny at the time with the interviewers suggesting it... smile

4 what its worth, I just found this out

Hi Martin,
I appologise for the late reply. Häftig fredag is not a band but a TV-show that was broadcasted on swedish television in the 70s. I´m afraid I don´t have any other information about this TV program since it wasn´t broadcasted on this station, Kanal5, but on swedish state television. Maybe they can help you with further information -
http:// www.svt.se.

I'll have a look smile

lmao
That "interview" was completely and utterly ahine! lmao

Sadly John doesn't come out of it all that well, as he was rather too "precious" in those days and instead of just giggling at the ridiculousness of it, he gets nervous and takes offence and says stupid things like "maybe you should learn to speak better English" (how's your Swedish then, John??)
(Oh, and I note the way he implies he writes all the music himself! tsk tsk)

Who the hell were those bizarre sanctimonious Swedes though?!? lmao

(by the way, I got iceskaters with Firefox 1.02 on Windows XP ...
although it worked on IE6 - obviously the site is rubbish and doesn't comply with webstandards)

Right... I tried, just for fun, going to the link with Firefox. I wanted to see these ice skaters! lmao

So that's the trick, then, is it. You have to have IE6 (which we also have) to view the real clip properly. I'll keep that in mind! Thanks! biglaugh

A while ago, they showed an interview from Swedish television from 1980 or 1981, that was a total disaster. The show was called "Måndagsbörsen" (Monday wallet??) and the the showleaders was really, really bad at english. Poor Warren looked really confused lmao I also think that the programme leader didn´t know what "Vienna" was and thought it was about wine or something :-)

We should ask Warren, if he remember this occasion. I apologize from the whole swedish people!!!

"And the Swedes have those funny little circles over some of their letters too?! love Grant"

A little lesson: "Å": In swedish we should use that letter like "Åzzy Åsbourne".

Ä: We would use that letter in "Älvis Presley"

Ö: It sounds like "börn" (burn)...or Björn Ulvaeus...

Regards from Sweden :-)/Björn
