Alternatively, Mrs X, you can download the CR78 sound samples from the following website and load them in your sequencer...(Roland_CR78.zip)...

http://www.artinsound.net/gooseygangles/downloads.html

This site also contains samples of Linn Drums which Warren used quite extensively...
I believe the files may be available elsewhere also.

wink

I don't think anyone would want to buy a CR78 other than for its historical status. As a series of sounds it is an icon. As an instrument it sucks big time...

Definitely one for the specialist market....

Besides, I can't afford a holiday, let alone a CR78.... laugh
Sorry, Sleepy, but I think you had already lost the sale... wink

Mike, I'd agree with you, but believe it or not, CR78s are seen as classics just because of the Ultravox/Foxx/Numan connection. Especially with the write switch.

Samples do me though...too much boolox talked about "classic" instruments... smile

Thanks, Mike, for the tip and the link!! I've just remembered that I do have some CR-78 sounds on FL Studio, but I can get the rest from that website, as well as any more Linn Drum sounds I don't have. Thanks again! excited

Sleepy: Sorry I can't buy the real thing off you, but I'm stingy. wink As for a sampler, I might have one on the PC. Probably. I haven't gone through everything we have. smile
