Actually, the Odyssey solo is quite unlike any other track. Definitely CurrieVox, but different somehow.

One of my favourite Vox tracks that. And 'only' a b-side.

Mine too! I remember regularly asking for it at school discos and DJs, not knowing it but knowing that it was the "b" side to VIENNA, would inevitably play it with predictable consequences: the dance floor emptied bar a few die-hard Ultravox fans in elegant waistcoats, broad trousers and flying jackets who made the most of it! Those were the days.

Love that song! Recently got it on vinyl albums and its even better on vinyl than on CD.

Another song I think is worth mentioning is 'I Never Wanted To Begin'. That song is great - unique instrumentation and i think the way that i segways into different styles - from shouting to soft voice in verse - is very clever.

What does everyone think of it?

I Never wanted To Begin, Paths and Angles and Passionate Reply are brilliant tracks, in fact they would be amongst my favourite UreVox songs. I think they are better than some of the stuff that made it onto albums and of course infinitely better than anything on the Pink thing.

Ironic, when "Paths and Angles" doesn't actually feature Mr. Ure in any capacity, I'm led to believe - guitar c/o our friendly local bass player, or so I'm told. They do. indeed, knock the Pink Thing into a cocked hat. And then they kick it. And then kick it some more. With one hand tied behind their back.
