Is it available as a CD? Looking at Billy's site, I can only find references to download purchases.

No. Never. Not in a million years would Mr Currie stoop that low. yuk

That whole Hasselhoff thing looks like a piss take to me. Is he that self aware or not? confused

By the way, Si, given your reputation for dubious taste in music, you probably shouldn't have highlighted this....

I would have thought that the CD will follow in due course, with the usual delays a la Humania. smile

First point: highly unlikely.

Second point: given the law of averages, I would probably have the Hoff thrown at me at some point. Not a fan (unbelievably, unlike what seems the entire German nation...), but it is quite amusing to watch him strut his 'rock star' stuff completely without any sense of irony.

Let's hope! I spent a lot of time and money on three of his album downloads (admittedly my own stupid fault for not reading the instructions properly; I thought I was ordering hard copies!) which I have not been able to open, in spite of some technical advice from the man himself. (If anyone has any tips they would be v. welcome; I use Windows 2000, and cannot open the files on anything, including a free download of I-Tunes...)

So I'll be trawling the bigger HMV stores in future; much simpler!

Hey, Phil! How about a review of Billy's new material?

As Mrs. Doyle from Father Ted would say, "Ohhh, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on ..."

I'd never noticed how apt Mr Hasselhoff's initials are.

The demo of "Krakow" sounded very promising.

That's good news. Haven't seen Billy for a while in this Forum. It'll be great for him to announce this release here.

I wonder if this new project is in the same vein as the Stand Up and Walk album. Ukraine and French Viola are outstanding tracks.

I wonder when will the CD version be released

I have spoken to Billy via email and he has said that Accidental Poetry of the Structure will be available in CD format early next year.

Hurrah! My computing engine takes inordinately long spans of time to download the simplest of things, so an entire album might well fry its circuits, or whatever technical anatomy it is that lurks beneath its smooth, creamy, seductive-in-a-sort-of-1970's-sort-of-way plastic carapace. Bring back the shimmering beauty of freshly-squeezed vinyl, I say.

I agree with the previous statement, KRAKOW sounds very promising indeed. Could it be something to do with songs named after European cities (q.v. VIENNA, DROWNING IN BERLIN, WE CAMNE TO GDANSK, DANZIG WITH TEARS IN MY EYESto name but some)? When the Compacted Disc comes out, I shall stump up the hard-earned brass fer t'buy it, without doubt. If nothing else, I've just found "Folly Brook" on my Boys' Big Bumper A-to-Z of London, and feel I should ramble on to the music.

Billy, keep on doing it. That you occasionally and accidentally publicise your material in somewhat Saxon terms on the site really does just add to the appeal, most honestly it does. This is ORGANIC and I bloody love it!

Aye, he has indeed. The new album's out as a CD in November with an interesting cover - black and white, full length shot of the maestro taken in woodland (in the Heart of the Country, maybe?). He's looking leaner these days, I think. I do hope that's down to Tai-Chi and diet and nowt else.

Looking at the photo, does anyone else think that it looks as though Mr Currie has invented the invisble shooting stick?

Perhaps he's getting ready to tour. The 2006 Telekon Tour? Doesn't that woodland appear very 'Jagged'?

Imagine Billy back in his jumpsuit! laugh
