Whatever happened to - twin sets
Whatever happened to - hi-fi
Whatever happened to - TV sex
Whatever happened to - you and I

Your passion is a product
(of) highlight and detail
That come hither look
Bonus offer retail

Whatever happened to - pick-up trucks
Whatever happened to - yellow pages
Whatever happened to - burning books
Whatever happened to - new ages

Your emotions are cheap
Cut price cash and carry
Your heart on your sleeve
For any Tom, Dick or Harry

Your love is a cashed-in cheque
Oh oh that's the way of all flesh

Whatever happened to - Chairman Mao
Whatever happened to - God above
Whatever happened to - the cow
Whatever happened to - plug-in love

Your pasteurised life so fit for consumption
Ooooo those undressing eyes so strictly commercial

Your love is a cashed-in cheque
Oh oh that's the way of all flesh
All flesh
All flesh

Hehehehe...sorry, this topic reminded me of The Buzzcocks... nutjob

Nice one Mrs X!

Actaully I was kind of hoping that one of these days Chris might take the plunge and just say 'hi'.

You know: prove his forum account is active....

...just one post....

...one wafer-thin post...

...and then we can deluge him with a group hug and thanks.

I mean: are we that scary?

...now where's my longboat?

Speaking of which...

Cerise - we know Chris has oriented his life around his profession and apparently doesn't want to have anything to do with his former life etc. I fully understand and respect this.

Nevertheless... would he really mind so much about us just taking a glimpse at what he looks like these days?

We know what Billy and Midge look like in 2005. The latest photo of Warren we see is his avatar one (1997, is it?), fair enough.

Yes, I must sincerely confess I am very curious after all and I adore looking at photos. Any chance, you think?

Love
Isabel

Hi Isabel,

No, no chance I'm afraid. Chris is adamant that no new pics should be taken, which I can fully understand. He doesn't want his clients recognising him from them and saying, "weren't you that bloke from that 80s band..?!" etc etc. As a counsellor, it could seriously harm his credibility.

However, he does read all the emails that you send him, and sometimes send replies through me.

Hope that answers your question! smile

The Rorschach Test is where a psychologist/psychotherapist/someone of that nature presents his/her patient with an inkblot smudge on it, and the patient is asked what he or she sees in the image. It's supposed to help determine the personality of the patient, or how he/she thinks. nutjob

Here's an example:

yeah, understandable...somehow I guess he looks no different than when he did the U-Vox tour, only a little older - shaved head (whatever the reason now) mainly. Is there an email address that people can use to get in touch with him and he actually reads and replies to these emails? Me next!!! smile Cerise, excuse my ignorance, I dont visit the forum too often so a few things might have slipped but do you keep in touch with all these guys regularly?

Sorry Cerise I do not want to fall into your back but I have to agree with Isabel and Patrizia.
What would Chris loose if he would post a reply on this forum?! No-one would know what he would look like(neither us nor his clients). - Look at me I am a mushroom (and I do not even like their taste but I like their shape and feel but could not murder one for food.) -
So I guess he is a 'blank canvass' to his clients which is not progressive in therapy.
I do not think he would loose any of his credibility - I rather trust someone who tells me a bit about themselves rather than just focusing on me - in real life it does not work like that either! Apart from that there is nothing wrong with a carrier change though I prefer him as a musician.
I also do not agree with the word 'client' as it sounds like someone going into a shop buying bread and it is very personal what goes on in those sessions! But this term is just something that evolved over the last ten years or so.
And now the all-important question: Do I still have a place on this forum?

well ... i suppose that not jus' chris , but also midge , john & also robin ( simon , of course wink ) are a bit afraid of the flood of requests that certainly would come in , if they start to post here - & if it's jus' a single short hello message to their fans !!!

they are obviously much happier with their lives , if they maybe read somethin' here from time to time , but NOT reply or post here @ all , so i think that we all should finally respect their decisions , if that's what they really want !!!

p. s. : i don't think that "trouble" is welcomed here ... albeit the member of the same name still is - am i right , mon cerise !? wink

I would love it if Chris would post just a simple hello in here! I don't really see the harm in it. No-one would know it was him. He doesn't have to show his face. I think many people here (including myself) would be very interested in what he has to say. This goes for everyone else as well! If they have an account here, why not take a moment to say hello...even just once? lurve

Trouble - of course! smile

Patrizia - yes, we're in touch with them all, though not quite so much with Billy.

I don't know why Chris won't post - I did try again a few months back. I made him an avatar with a photo he sent (not of himself) and using his nickname (so he had a bit of anonymity) and he still hasn't posted. He's still happy to reply to emails, albeit through me, he won't reply direct. I don't know the reason, but I do respect his decision. I do gently prod now and again, but that's as far as I'll go.

As for the rest... Warren as you know, posts when he can. Billy drops in occasionally. John never has and likely never will, he's not a great lover of computer technology. Midge... well, B has enough trouble getting him to visit his OWN website, let along anywhere else. Back in the early days, when we had the lly simple chat script, we managed to get him to drop ina few times.

Being a later-comer to the ins and outs of the personality side of the band (although a long-term lover of the music), I've got the impression that Chris wouldn't be past going through the described charade with Cerise of registering and supplying his own avatar whilst already having registered clandestine like ages ago. How do we know that one of us, hiding behind some suitable name and misleading image, might not be Mr.Allen? If that turns out to be the case then good on you, mate, keep us all guessing and running around in our willing circles! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="cool.gif" />
