Hi!

I noticed in a You tube clip that Chris played bass guitar on this song (I only heard the synth bass). In Live Aid he played the bass on a keyboard.

It really doesn´t matter, but as a true fan, you want to know all facts. Anyone else who noticed this?

Kind regards Björn

Hi Björn!

Yes, I`ve also noticed this. To me it sounds
like bass guitar only - but then again, I wasn`t
at the gigs, so I can`t be sure really.

You are right, in the old days Chris always
played the bass on his Minimoog.

All The Best smile

Chris using G-Force's Minimonsta VA for the tour for the Moog bass parts, sounds damn fine too cool wink

Any idea if he is using any of the default patches included with Minimonsta? Or custom patches? I have played with Minimonsta, and would love to get a hold of any of these custom patches, if they exist. Sleepy, maybe you can yell over the crowd to ask him!

Actually, do you know the full list of virtual synths that Ultravox is using for these gigs? Virtual String Machine that includes the SS30 sounds?

As far as i know they are using G-Force Media's Oddity, Imposcar, Minimonsta & VSM.

I'm not certain, but i think Billy is also using Arturia's CS80V

I'm going to put Chris's 'Moog Bass' patch up on here tomorrow, for those of you who own an original Model-D or one of the VA emulations...we use it...sounds fantastic! cool

Interesting. You would think that G-Force is sponsoring part of the show!

Would love to play around with that 'Moog Bass' patch.

Cheers
