I don't think I've introduced myself, though I've been lurking here a while. So, hello! I have the misfortune of a) living in a country with questionable musical taste, and b) not discovering Ultravox until 2007. I became a fan watching, of all things, the Live Aid video and hearing Vienna for the first time. I've been hooked on everything Ultravox since, and supplement my musical education using EV members' recommendations. Without you guys, I wouldn't know about bands like Icehouse or The Blue Nile. Thank you.

Here's hoping that Brilliant sells so many copies that they tour the US (because my husband does not support my leaving our toddler and flying to Europe alone to catch a show). Until my dream is realized, I will continue to live vicariously through all of your wonderful posts!

p.s. Cerise, I truly don't know what I would do without this site. It is a tonic for the musically isolated.

Hi Kris-Marie, and welcome. Its not your fault that more of your country folk do not like the mighty Ultravox! Never understood why they didn't get into the Vox after Monument. Saying that, there have been some excellent bands from your neck of the woods - REM for one.

Think you need to play hubby some more Ultravox and convince him (been trying with Mrs. Dazlin1 for some 20 years and haven't suceeeded yet, but theres still hope - dazlin1 Jr thinks the latest stuff is "awesome"!! ;))
