hi guys
i rented this antonioni film this week
since john foxx was credited with the soundtrack...
besides hearing a clip of "europe after the rain"
i also recognized japan, xtc and omd!
the end credits even mentioned steve hillage
and tangerine dream among others!
so, what exactly did john DO for this film...? :-)
thanks

Hi Ben

I saw this film too on German Tv for a couple of years and was very surprised to hear an extended version of Europe after the rain in the background. But to say it incl. a soundtrack of John is a bit funny 'cause it is only this one track , not played to the end and the actors are speaking along the hole track !

I remember about XTC too - think it was "Making plans for Nigel" I heard.

But if you rent or bought it 'cause of the "soundtrack" of John you can only be disappointed... wink
So what can you say more about this film? Hmm.... ah yes, it is a bit an erotic movie... laugh

I read an interview somewhere in which John talks about some atmospheric pieces he wrote for this film, but I haven't been able to "identify" his input either.
I do wonder if it is either the opening or closing music?
confused

Thanks for reminding me about this film! I saw an Italian DVD for sale, but I'm not sure if it has subtitles or not. I guess in the meantime, I'll have to look into a rental at my favorite mom & pop store. laugh
