At long last here's the critical reappraisal of Ultravox! albums, with them being praised for their obvious innovation and free, suturistic spirit to which the critics have been oblivious for too long. Have a read here:

What's more, there are some kind words about the Midge era! Previously it was only Foxx years that were grudgingly accepted as somewhat "worthy". And it's always fascinating to see how critics generally try to avoid discussing Ultravox at all - everyone seems to be praised, even critically-maligned Spandau Ballet got their (modest) due. But Ultravox - well, that's a no-go band! (or that was?) Hopefully that'll change soon.
